3rd Shift Shipping Associate

Position Summary

Toledo Steel Supply is seeking a Shipping Associate to ensure all orders are staged and ready for shipment. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Organize and stage product for proper shipment.
• Inspect materials for correct quantity and quality before shipping.
• Auxiliary with loading orders onto delivery trucks in a timely manner, while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Ensure all product orders are packaged and wrapped properly for safe and efficient transportation.
• Ensure product orders are ready for delivery according to delivery schedule.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and work orders.
• Communicate verbally and written to other employees and supervisors.
• Previous work experience in warehousing duties.
• Experience operating a forklift.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• The position operates in a manufacturing shop environment.
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment are constant.
• Employees must be able to work in both hot and cold temperatures of a warehouse and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling are required in order to successfully perform work duties.

Schedule

The regular work shift is Sunday through Thursday, 10:45 pm to 7:15 am.
