3rd shift Sanitor

Responsibilities

• Complete sanitation activities according to a master cleaning list and weekly schedule set by the Sanitation Department.
• Effectively clean manufacturing equipment based on Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) utilizing Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for:
  • Fryer and surrounding area
  • Microwave (MW) room
  • Equilibrium and Exchange rooms
  • Pack area including proportioners
  • Cutters
  • Freezers (inside and out)
  • Batter and breader equipment
  • Utensils
  • Totes and waste receptacles
  • Drains
  • Outside area
  • Overheads, water hoses, ladders, fire extinguishers, and other miscellaneous items
  • Tanker, refuse, and waste dock
• Operate scissor lifts and forklifts after certification.
• Work at heights safely.
• Collect and dispose of waste properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Complete chemical handling and safety training.
• Demonstrate the ability to follow Gorton’s SSOPs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Sound judgment in decision-making.
• Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures for equipment cleaning.
• Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
• Understanding of standards and measurements.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period), if required.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Abide by company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies.
