3rd Shift Sanitation

Kraft Heinz Kendallville is seeking an hourly manufacturing team member to produce quality products that are staples in households nationwide.

About the Plant

The Kendallville facility employs 280 people across three shifts. Purchased in 1934 from Breyer’s Ice Cream, the plant began producing caramel in 1935, marshmallows and marshmallow crème in 1961, and Marbits (dehydrated marshmallows found in cereal) in 1979. Kendallville is the sole producer of all these products.

Kendallville is located about 30 minutes north of Fort Wayne and offers a small-town atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently dismantle, clean, and re-assemble production equipment (e.g., kettles, pumps, pipes, valves, drums, tables, belts, sifters, dryers, packaging machines, conveyors, blenders) and support equipment (e.g., coils, drains, overheads, fans).
• Monitor and communicate any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor, Team Leader, or Line Technician.
• Support and guide temporary employees assigned to your designated area.
• Report all safety concerns and potential hazards to Supervisor, Team Leader, or Line Technician.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with a strong drive for results.
• Able to use simple mathematics.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and climbing a ladder.
• Able to work in hot/humid conditions as well as areas that may contain starch/dust particles and egg.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, and work safety preferred.

Pay

$20.55 – $24.00/hour.

Schedule

• 3rd shift Monday–Friday: 10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
• 3rd shift Thursday–Sunday: Thursday 8:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., Friday 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., Saturday 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., Sunday 6:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.
• Daily/weekly overtime possible.
