3rd Shift Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections using various gaging tools and maintain quality records.
• Assist the Quality Auditor as necessary.
• Utilize precision measuring devices and electronic test equipment (e.g., Vision System, Optical Comparator, RAM, Hardness tester, hand-held gages) to ensure product compliance with customer specifications.
• Maintain inspection records and safe working conditions.
• Identify defective material/product and determine acceptability of appearance/performance with assistance if needed.
• Complete Non-Conforming Material Reports and tag non-compliant product.
• Perform specialized quality tests for specific customer requirements.
• Conduct or participate in:
  • Gaging studies (Gage R&R) and Gage Calibration
  • ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 Audits
  • Quality System Procedure Development
  • Customer complaint investigations
  • Quality Report preparation
• Interact with SPC and Oasis measurement software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications (a plus).
• Must be able to complete additional training courses when assigned.
• Ability to use DOS-based touch-screen computers and Windows-based software.
