Responsibilities

  • Supervises and monitors the work of machine and assembly operators.
  • Follows and enforces MME Group safety guidelines.
  • Follows and enforces MME Group quality guidelines.
  • Completes training for all new shift team members.
  • Communicates and works effectively with other team members.
  • Shares ideas on how the team can be improved and solves problems occurring on the shift.
  • Ensures all operation sheets have correct information.
  • Checks new labels for proper information, including revision labels.
  • Records and maintains accurate records of product produced.
  • Ensures proper documentation by Material Handlers and Process Technicians when changing work orders.
  • Visually inspects parts for defects such as shorts, flash, or contamination.
  • Notifies shift Process Technicians of any visual problems with the product.
  • Completes walkthroughs of areas and notes cleanliness; directs operators to maintain their areas.
  • Drives the culture, provides recognition, and emphasizes teamwork.
  • Provides effective quality technical support to Plastic Injection Molding and assembly operations.
  • Works with engineers, technicians, supervisors, and floor personnel to resolve day-to-day issues and achieve team objectives.
  • Uses MME Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, and other QMS elements to ensure adherence to MME and regulatory requirements.
  • Initiates change requests to update or improve quality or product documentation.
  • Performs Final Inspection of products.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid identification and ability to legally work in the United States.
  • Three years of experience working in the manufacturing of plastic injection molding.
  • Previous employment at MME Group as a Machine Operator III.
  • Ability to read and comprehend production instructions, policy manuals, safety instructions, and business correspondence.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical computations (e.g., addition, subtraction, division using whole numbers and decimals).
  • Accurate manual dexterity.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 30 lbs unaided.
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, stand, bend, and stoop within office and shop areas.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
