3rd Shift Maintenance - Maintenance Generalist (MG01-MG08) - Waldron Weekend Maintenance

About the Role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves monitoring equipment during production, making necessary repairs or adjustments, and documenting all corrections. The incumbent will perform preventive maintenance, rebuild equipment as required, and assist with the installation of new equipment. Additional duties include manually greasing, changing oil, cleaning various plant equipment, monitoring equipment and computer boards, and troubleshooting mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets.
• Monitor equipment during production and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Document all corrections and maintenance activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and rebuild equipment as required.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment.
• Manually grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment.
• Monitor equipment and computer boards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.
• Work closely with other maintenance personnel to exchange job-related information.
• Move equipment, machinery, and other items weighing more than 40 lbs when needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to reach, lift, and work overhead.
• Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for the duration of the shift.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and from very wet to very dry.
• Must be able to communicate and get along with others.
• Must be able to work with fragile devices requiring precise attention.
• Must comply with OSHA standards.
• Must understand and follow safety rules.
• Must be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays if needed.
• Must be capable of moving freely throughout the plant over and around equipment, people, and obstacles.
• Must be able to bend, turn, and inspect equipment.
• Must have at least 6 months of maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Must provide government identification number for Tyson employment history verification.
