Operate filler equipment across various product families in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor production-line equipment.
  • Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
  • Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product; make adjustments to filler timing and filling as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
  • Collect samples required for quality assurance testing.
  • Ensure proper packaging materials are used for each product.
  • Watch for jams on the label operator and effectively thread wrap to prevent downtime.
  • Perform filler and filler-line changeovers safely and efficiently.
  • Complete cleaning checklist once line has finished a run; prepare equipment for next run, including size changes.
  • Maintain communication with other departments, supervisors, and employees regarding any issues that may restrict production efficiency.
  • Document all required information in accordance with SOPs.
  • Assist in identifying process-improvement opportunities using a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Report any food-safety or food-quality issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and comply with all state and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and corporate regulatory, food-safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to follow directions.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Pay

$21.37 per hour.
