Responsibilities

• Adjust and prepare production tools and resources to carry out machining operations using dedicated machining equipment (conventional or numerical) according to production safety, cost, quality, and time requirements, in compliance with HSE rules.
• Machine pre-production items and prototypes; follow established controls to validate the first items manufactured in a production run.
• Detect machining faults and seek corrective action.
• Ensure required traceability (product/process) and report on work.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machines.
• Perform quality control inspections; follow set-up sheets and instructions.
• Edit programs as necessary.
• Evaluate and perform tool changes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Promote and emphasize safety at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with decimals/fractions.
• Proficiency in using basic measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Capable of standing for long periods of time.
• Good interpersonal skills.
