Responsibilities

• Adjusts and prepares production tools and resources to carry out machining operations using dedicated machining equipment (conventional or numerical) according to production safety, cost, quality, and time requirements, and in compliance with HSE rules.
• Machines pre-production items and prototypes, follows established controls to validate the first items manufactured in a production run.
• Detects machining faults and seeks corrective action.
• Ensures the required traceability (product/process) and reports on work.
• Sets up, adjusts, and operates machines.
• Performs quality control inspections; follows set-up sheets and instructions.
• Edits programs as necessary.
• Evaluates and performs tool changes.
• Maintains cleanliness of the work area.
• Promotes and emphasizes safety at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with decimals/fractions.
• Use of basic measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Capable of standing for long periods of time.
• Good interpersonal skills.
