3rd Forge Team Lead
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and provide directions to assigned manufacturing associates on how to do their assigned task(s).
- Ensure that the assigned area(s) equipment is operating properly and safely throughout the shift.
- Assign Manufacturing Associates to the appropriate operation.
- Frequently review the Quality of products following each process and provide feedback to Manufacturing Specialists to keep everyone in tune with the process.
- Develop employees for further company growth.
- Verify that we meet machine efficiencies, quality standards, and reduce scrap levels in assigned area.
- Maintain identity and segregation of nonconforming material and communicate to Crew Manager for guidance.
- Maintain and report status of supplies at the operation line and inventory levels.
- Perform in a production capacity when needed.
- Aid in material handling tasks to maintain neat and orderly work area.
- Monitor Communications Boards accordingly.
- Back-up CM assumes Crew Manager responsibilities in the absence of CM.
- Monitor workflow through assigned area in coordination with Crew Manager and Shipping department to meet quality production and shipping goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing preferred).
- A minimum of 1-year experience in manufacturing operations (2 years’ experience preferred).
- A working knowledge of compact, forge, delube, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, whitelight inspection, video ink jet, magnetic particle inspection and dip tank operation is required.
- A working knowledge of the various machinery on the machine side is required.
Qualifications
- Skills and Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing preferred).
- Experience: Requires a minimum of 1-year experience in manufacturing operations (2 years’ experience preferred).
- On the machine side, understanding and knowledge of the various machinery is required.

Team Leaders are responsible for overseeing and providing tools necessary for their crews to work safely, stay quality focused and production oriented. The Team Leader interacts with the supervisors, and team members as necessary. The Team leaders will be involved with and assess requirements, developmental plans, provide needed materials and direction for the purpose of their employee’s success of meeting or exceeding our internal and external customer expectations.
