3D Product Developer (CAD Rhino)

Responsibilities

• Work on distinctive, design-forward hard goods products
• Partner directly with leadership on high-visibility development projects
• Apply advanced Rhino, SubD, and NURBS expertise in a highly technical environment
• Own the translation of 2D concepts into production-considerate 3D models
• Translate 2D sketches, drawings, and concept inputs into accurate, high-quality 3D Rhino models
• Build advanced surface geometry while preserving the aesthetic, proportion, and flow of the original design intent
• Create and refine complex hard goods forms using Rhino, including SubD and NURBS workflows
• Perform surfacing, extraction, curvature analysis, and radius development throughout the design process
• Produce rough prototypes through 3D printing or casting methods for internal review and approval
• Incorporate rapid revisions and feedback to move concepts toward final approval
• Generate detailed 2D drawings and profiles from 3D CAD files for manufacturing and internal communication
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners while remaining open to feedback, direction, and coaching

Requirements

• 3-5 years of industry experience out of eyewear, jewelry, toys, medical devices, aerospace, or other hard goods environments
• Advanced expertise in Rhino, including SubD and NURBS surfacing
• Experience transforming undeveloped 2D concepts into polished, production-aware 3D models
• Background in industrial design, product development, or CAD development for physical products
• Strong understanding of surface continuity, curvature, radius control, and model refinement
• Ability to generate precise 2D technical drawings from 3D CAD files
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator; KeyShot experience preferred
