CAD Developer

Responsibilities

• Aid the engineering manager with lit’s, bank packages, and sign-off drawings for the sales department
• Support the sales department in managing sales requests
• Collaborate with the sales manager on order reviews and revisions
• Show organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules
• Work with the engineering manager to prevent errors during the preliminary stages
• Monitor and address issues and mistakes in prints provided to the sales team
• Review and ensure accuracy of completed sales requests before returning them to the sales team
• Offer feedback to corporate engineering on plant-related concerns
• Track and log sales requests, assigning job and model numbers
• Comply with established CADD standards in daily work
• Contribute to the creation of construction permits
• Make necessary revisions to existing construction databases as directed
• May also print out plant construction documents and approvals
• Research and correct mistakes in production prints, coordinating with corporate engineering for adjustments
• Provide additional details needed for plant production
• Collaborate with plant supervisors in resolving problems

Requirements

• Drafting certificate from an accredited institution
• Two years of drafting degree preferred (or nearing completion)
• Architectural focus a plus
• Strong experience and training with AutoCAD
• Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (M.E.P.) experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to read architectural drawings and plans
• Effective communication skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
