SummaryWe are seeking a Structural Steel Detailer / SDS2 3D Modeler to join an in-house detailing team for a locally owned structural steel fabrication company. This position uses SDS2 3D modeling software to develop structural steel models and produce shop fabrication and field erection drawings. Experienced detailers are encouraged to apply, and the company is willing to train the right motivated candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain 3D structural steel models using SDS2 • Produce detailed shop fabrication and field erection drawings • Read and interpret structural and architectural construction drawings • Detail structural steel members, connections, and miscellaneous components • Coordinate modeling and drawing information with Engineering, Preconstruction, and Fabrication teams • Review work for accuracy, constructability, and completeness • Follow industry detailing standards and project requirements • Make drawing and model revisions throughout the projectQualificationsPrevious structural steel detailing experience preferred • SDS2 experience strongly preferred • Ability to read and understand structural and architectural construction drawings • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills • Comfortable working with computers and learning 3D modeling software • Good math skills • Construction, fabrication, welding, drafting, CAD, or related experience is a plus • Entry-level candidates with no SDS2 experience may be considered with a willingness to learn • Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug screen Location: Pensacola, FL Position Type: Full-TimePay: $16 - $35/hr Depending on Experience Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift #3463 Ways to Apply: Call our office at 850-494-1776 for an immediate phone interview today About Express Employment Professionals:Express can help you find the type of job that is a perfect fit for your needs and abilities, and you'll never pay a fee for our services and support.
