About the role

This job provides support for expansion of the 340B Program. Maintains databases and systems to support these programs to ensure financial and regulatory compliance of 340B Pharmacy Program. Works closely with the current staff and Pharmacies servicing the company's population.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards, including all Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Office of Pharmacy Affairs regulations related to the 340B Program.
  • Maintains 340B drug utilization and purchasing at contract pharmacies.
  • Serves as a technical resource to contract pharmacies and hospital pharmacy departments.
  • Supports implementation, testing, maintenance, and auditing of new contract pharmacy sites.
  • Performs audits on a scheduled basis including presenting and resolving issues as they arise during the monitoring and reconciliation process.
  • Maintains Medicaid prescriptions to ensure compliance to prevent duplicate discounts.
  • Uses the electronic health record to research patient records within the specified audit period, documenting and identifying the eligibility of the provider, location, and patient’s status.
  • Analyzes data and builds reports to identify cost savings and system improvements to yield higher compliance.
  • Affords assistance with staff education and training for the 340B Program.
  • Fosters working relationships with internal and external working counterparts to facilitate productive exchanges of information to improve program efficiency and promote program compliance.

Requirements

  • Education Required – Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Preferred – Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Work Experience Required – 2 years’ experience in Healthcare, Compliance, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Preferred – Experience Working With The 340B Drug Discount Program
  • Certifications Preferred – Completion Of Apexus Advanced 340B Certificate Program

Qualifications

  • Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy processes and medications utilized.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and strong orientation to attention-to-detail.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between facilities, including ability to drive vehicle on Interstate Highway System.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical contract mechanism for hospitals, GPOs, Retail Pharmacies, and Wholesalers.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy software to support 340B Pharmacy Programs.
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of regulations and guidelines of the 340B Program.
