Responsibilities
- Support and monitor first-run ("pilot") CNC programs during production startup.
- Make programming adjustments to improve cycle times, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Work closely with machinists, setup technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot machining and programming issues in real time.
- Update Mastercam programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and documentation to reflect process improvements.
- Assist with troubleshooting machining, tooling, fixture, and programming challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve production processes and reduce downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
Requirements
- Previous CNC programming experience using Mastercam, or a strong programming aptitude with a willingness to learn.
- Experience working with CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both programmers and machinists.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
