Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor first-run ("pilot") CNC programs during production startup.
  • Make programming adjustments to improve cycle times, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with machinists, setup technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot machining and programming issues in real time.
  • Update Mastercam programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and documentation to reflect process improvements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting machining, tooling, fixture, and programming challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve production processes and reduce downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • Previous CNC programming experience using Mastercam, or a strong programming aptitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both programmers and machinists.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
