Our client is seeking an Application Specialist with strong domain knowledge in eFX to enhance and support trading applications.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- Sound knowledge of financial markets products
- At least 3-5 years of experience in FX trading systems
- At least 3-5 years of experience providing L2/L3 support
- Experience with trading analytics applications (advantageous)
- Experience with UNIX Shell/Perl scripting, RDMS, and SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with business users
- Independent, proactive, and demonstrates a "can-do" mentality
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results
- Strong time and task management skills
Desired Skills
- ITIL certification
- Knowledge or experience with KDB+ time series database and analytics
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for eFX and related trading applications
- Fix bugs, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with internal technical and business teams to implement permanent solutions
- Follow escalation procedures during outages
- Write SQL scripts and suggest automation to improve support team efficiency
- Adhere to change management requirements for application and system implementations
