Job Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to the Director of Nursing and Unit Manager with staffing recommendations.
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, and orienting professional staff.
- Collaborates with the DON and Unit Manager to plan, organize, direct, and implement a comprehensive nursing program.
- Provides nursing leadership to meet the goals of the organization and the individual center.
- Ensures timely and accurate compliance between nurses, CNAs, and professional medical staff.
- Participates in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and ensures the Interdisciplinary Care Plan addresses all triggered indicators.
- Communicates effectively with a variety of other disciplines.
- Prepares accurate reports of Quality Measure/Quality Indicators (QM/QI).
- Trends and tracks this data to enhance the knowledge of the Interdisciplinary Team and improve the quality of care through performance improvement initiatives.
- Develops and implements an educational plan to meet changing program or service needs for self and others.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of GA.
- Experience in supervising LPNs and CNAs.
- Strong clinical leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of RAI/MDS and QM/QI.
