Job Summary
You'll be responsible for the direction and management of Warehouse Operations. This position will ensure customer satisfaction through work practices congruent to Masters Gallery Foods' performance metrics, safety, and regulatory standards while delivering continuously improving results, leading Warehouse associates to deliver on-time, quality and accurate orders to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all Warehouse Department activities.
- Measure productivity of direct reports and hold them accountable for meeting required performance standards.
- Ensure all receiving and shipping is completed by required times to facilitate order compliance.
- Develop direct reports through training, effective communication, and general accountability (pre-shift meetings, forklift training, safety, cross-training, etc.).
- Gather data, prepare reports, analyze, solve problems, provide findings to various customers, including vendors, outside carriers, sales, transportation, customer service, and customers.
- Utilize employee input to make changes that benefit the person, the team, and the Company.
- Conduct investigations to identify problem sources and make decisions regarding solutions to those problems.
- Lead and organize specific Continuous Improvement initiatives within Warehouse Department.
- Perform training audits and annual performance reviews on Warehouse team members.
- Share resources with Production and Quality (labor, equipment, knowledge, etc.) and act as a team member in serving the customer.
- Enforce all standards, policies, and procedures of Masters Gallery Foods with safety and quality at top of mind.
- Proactively pursue safety initiatives and ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with Warehouse staff.
Qualifications And Experience
- Average of five years of experience in a progressively responsible Warehouse position.
- A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Supervisory Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
- A CDL (Commercial Driving License) or spotter experience preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience operating a forklift.
- A working knowledge of Human Resources related laws and regulations.
- A high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and supervisory skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- The ability to work occasional weekend hours and additional hours as needed.
- The ability to travel between Oostburg and Plymouth locations.
- The ability to fluently communicate needs of Warehouse staff.
