Responsibilities
- Selects products and materials from shelves using an RF scanner and prepares items for shipping.
- Loads and secures materials onto box trucks efficiently.
- Prepares orders for shipping by placing material in auditing and staging areas.
- Checks material for damage and confirms correct items and quantities are selected.
- Ensures the material and product is picked correctly and is damage-free.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to material and/or marks information on boxes, cases, pallets, or other containers.
- Verifies correct material is picked for each order before taking orders to auditing table.
- Assembles and fills orders to be shipped to customers.
- Prepares shipping documentation as necessary.
- Safely operates all the necessary equipment in warehouse and ensures warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
- Performs other general warehouse duties as necessary.
- Follows established safety procedures.
Requirements
- 1+ years of warehouse and distribution experience including use of commercial or industrial equipment.
- Experience with handheld computer equipment such as RF scanners.
- Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
- Able to work well and coordinate with others.
- Ability to read, write and exhibit strong basic math skills.
Skills
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate material moving equipment such as a forklift, riding pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and picking carts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Essential Job Functions
- Lifting/Carrying: Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull incoming products, boxes, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance or material handling equipment.
- Standing/Walking: Prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors while unloading, inspecting, and moving materials throughout the warehouse.
- Climbing/Balance: Occasional climbing on docks or equipment platforms to access shipments or storage areas and move material; ability to maintain balance while handling heavy or awkward loads.
- Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to unpack, inspect, and verify incoming materials.
- Reaching/Handling: Regular reaching, grasping, and handling of boxes, cartons, pallets, and equipment; manual dexterity required for scanning, labeling, and handling documentation.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision (for product identification and labels), and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing/Speaking: Ability to hear instructions, equipment signals, and communicate effectively with team members and truck drivers in a busy warehouse/dock environment.
- Environmental Conditions: Work performed primarily in a warehouse and loading dock environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment; may occasionally work outdoors during unloading.
- PPE Use: Must be able to wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, etc.) for extended periods.
