Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to rotate products, ensuring older stock is used first to maintain product freshness and minimize waste.
- Effectively manage the storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure optimal organization of inventory to maximize space and efficiency.
- Cook with other departments to meet production and distribution needs.
- Prepare and review documentation related to shipping and receiving functions.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts.
- Generate scheduled reports and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Operate power lifts, hand trucks, carts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in loading and unloading of goods, ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials.
- Execute daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, transfers and inventory control.
- Accurately pick and dispatch shipments on time.
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- With training, operate the box truck for transfers between locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehousing preferred.
- Forklift certification required.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management and material handling.
- Proficiency in operating power lifts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to continually lift 65 pounds and move 175 pounds regularly and repeatedly.
- Must have the ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- The ability to work near moving parts and machinery.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and the ability to see color; either with or without accommodation.
- The ability to work in loud, wet, cold, hot, indoor, and outdoor environments frequently.
