2nd Shift Systems Administrator

About the role

This is a full-time position located at 155 Fairground Rd, Front Royal, Virginia 22630. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4pm to 2:30am, with a pay rate of $20/hr.

Minimum Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role include an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience supporting various end users with hardware and software, including procedural problems, and experience supporting devices in a network environment.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting end users with hardware and software
• Experience supporting devices in a network environment
• One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ (ITF+), Network+, Security+, Linux+, Microsoft MCP, MTA, MCSA, MCSE, Cisco CCT, or CCNA

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the following software tools: SNOW ticketing system, Microsoft Server O/S, FileZilla, Wireshark, Microsoft Office products, Active Directory, Joining computers to the domain, Putty, Kitty, iOS, Linux, Hyper-V, VMWare, SSMS, DHCP, Static IP, Networking protocols, VIOP applications, File Share Permissions, Zabbix and SCOM monitoring tools, APC & Vertiv Geist IT Environmental monitoring tools, and various imaging processes for PC, AP, Switches, Routers, RF & Voice equipment
• Knowledge of the following hardware tools: Crimping RJ11 & RJ45 Cables, Wire mapper, Wireless Air Check, USB to Serial cable management port connections, Multi Meter, and 110/66 punch down tool
