Job Details Vonachen Group is looking to hire a 2nd Shift Supervisor in Des Moines, IA. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and providing a safe working environment. This person acts as a liaison between clients and managers when the manager is not present. Job Responsibilities Oversee all assigned duties/task per facility scope of workEncourage, redirect, correct, and document employee performance as appropriateTrain employees into specialized areas and periodic assignments; document trainingParticipate in all OSHA, Company, Customer and Site-Specific Safety Guidelines and ProcessesPrepare Confined Space Permits; initiate and confirm Lock-Out-Tag-Out of equipmentTrack all work and provide documentation as required; prepare timekeeping and End of Shift reportsConduct Quality Assurance audit and ensure corrective measures are implemented for all deficienciesStock and maintain janitor and industrial closets, supply rooms; facilitate supply ordersMaintain a safe work environment and immediately report any safety risks or hazardsMonitor building security, facilitate any site-specific safety protocolConduct hiring interviews as neededMonitor inventory and facilitate repairs to all assigned equipment and required tools.Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all assigned motorized equipment Job Requirements Skills and AbilitiesMust be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver's license and clean MVR Must have reliable transportationAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high-level of performanceCustomer-oriented and friendlyPossesses excellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to attend training related to industry practices and procedures Works well with a diverse teamMust be mechanically inclined and possess a strong safety orientationEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDSome computer skills are requiredSome experience with performing administrative tasks is requiredManagement / supervisory experience requiredExperience working with union environment preferredCDL preferred (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire)Physical RequirementsStand and walk for long periods of timeRepeat the same movementsFrequent bending and twistingAble to lift, push & pull 50lbsAble to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends Details Full-Time-2nd Shift- Monday- Friday$22/hrFull benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), STD, LTDPTO/HolidaysCompany cell phone providedMust pass pre employment requirements as neededNow offering Daily Pay!
