2nd Shift Supervisor

About the role

The 2nd Shift Supervisor oversees all 2nd shift production activities within Oven Production and Secondary Operations (Punch Department).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all 2nd shift employees in Oven Production and Secondary Operations, addressing employee relations, performance, attendance, training, and development.
• Support and direct the 2nd Shift Supervisor Assistant while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Cook daily production activities, staffing, schedules, and priorities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards through inspections, measurements, and corrective action implementation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and 5S.
• Enforce all company safety policies, identify and address workplace hazards, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Communicate production performance, operational concerns, and shift activities to support effective shift transitions and business operations.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements: Prior experience in manufacturing preferred; job experience preferred; minimum of 5 years in manufacturing with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Skills and Abilities Required: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules; ability to reach, twist, bend, squat, push, pull, and climb as required; comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels and occasional exposure to seasonal temperature extremes and chemical substances; ability to work effectively in a shared production environment.
