About the role
Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCBA Soldering Technician (2nd shift) to join our team that produces a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs). Leidos Defense Systems Sector / Manufacturing provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium, and high-density printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Soldering and working under a microscope
- Perform rework of various electronic packages including resistors, capacitors, and through-hole parts
- Work to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on work output
- Work independently under limited supervision
- Work in a team environment and interact with different functions, project teams, and production teams
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED and less than 1 year of prior relevant work experience
- Experience soldering under a microscope
- Ability to solder surface mount and through-hole components
- Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
- Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications
- Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610
- Current or prior certification in J-STD-001
Pay
Pay Range: $35,100.00 - $63,450.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
