Location: Hagerstown, MD – 2nd Shift. Full‑time position offering competitive pay and a full benefit package.

Summary

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Place identifying information on material upon arrival at the plant site.
  • Route items to inventory.
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Maintain flow of traffic through yard and assist in staging shipments for outbound loads.
  • Assist in stacking lumber or moving product by hand as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 6 months related experience.
  • Lumber experience a plus.
