2nd Shift Shipping PIT Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a good safety record.
• Safely operate powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks.
• Move, load, unload, and store product throughout the facility.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Support production teams by delivering materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Adhere to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related education.
• Must have both Pallet Jack and Forklift certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work in a team atmosphere.
• Pass a background check, drug screen.
• Be able to read and write.
• Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
• Must have Good mobility, good eye/hand coordination.
• Basic computer skills, as you will be required to check out PIT equipment through safety chain.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Prior Forklift operator experience.
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
• Physical Demands: Standing (8 hours a day or more), frequent bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to climb in and out of powered industrial trucks safely.
• Good hand–eye coordination and ability to operate controls precisely.
• Capability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Maintain alertness and focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Working Conditions & Travel Requirements: Work in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities, and around processing plant equipment.
• Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipment.
• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
