2nd shift - Quality Etching Associate

About the role

Analyzing and verifying the quality of final welded fabrications through sectioning, etching, and software analysis of prepared samples.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily activities to meet specified weekly and monthly requirements
• Use the band saw to section weldments
• Apply acid to samples for etching purposes
• Verify weld penetration both visually and with etching software
• Communicate results to Engineering and Quality
• Record results to maintain IATF16949 standard compliance
• Perform calibration as needed
• Product sorting as required under the direction of Quality personnel
• Product inspection as required under the direction of Quality personnel
• Process inspections as scheduled
• Adhere to 5S standards for workspace cleanliness
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Good quality and attendance records
• Computer experience
• Ability to work different shifts, if needed
• Ability to communicate and work well with others via written or verbal methods
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to use Quality hand measurement tools
• Open to attending off-site training

Environmental Conditions

• Non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility
• Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection
