Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Organize different metals and materials for machine operators.
  • Operate saws, drills, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
  • Follow work orders, drawings, and instructions to produce accurate parts.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Essential Job Functions

  • High school diploma, GED, or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production plant preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment
  • Basic blueprint or drawing reading skills preferred
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to perform multiple tasks, with strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and willing to learn and participate in continuous improvement projects

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 40 pounds.
  • Equipment operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses with side shields, hearing protectors, hard toed safety shoes, protective gloves, and aprons as needed.
  • Work schedule is based on a 10 hour schedule with overtime required based on business needs.
