2nd Shift Punch Press Operator

2nd shift positions include shift differential pay.

About the Role

As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for cutting vinyl siding, diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions, and recommending corrections.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate stamping presses ranging from 20 to 40 ton
• Set tooling and operate the press safely
• Document production activities
• Use tools including calipers, gauges, and micrometers
• Apply mechanical aptitude to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed

Requirements

• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to read and write in English
• Comprehension of written instructions
• Attention to detail
• Ability to safely operate equipment and necessary tools
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work under time constraints
• Proactive and self-disciplined
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures. The environment is an active plant with continuous noise from equipment.

Physical Demands

• Very active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
• Must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. (Subject to change based on business demands)
