2nd Shift Production Worker (1pm-9:30pm)

About the role

The Production Worker role is integral to Los Altos Foods' mission of producing high-quality cheese and dairy products. This position supports daily manufacturing operations, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Count, label, and organize products and production materials accurately.
• Inspect products for quality and remove, report, or replace damaged items as needed.
• Sort, package, and prepare finished goods according to company and food safety standards.
• Move materials, supplies, and products throughout the production and warehouse areas.
• Perform general labor duties including loading, unloading, lifting, stacking, and moving materials.
• Absorb and follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety policies.
• Support production line operations to ensure efficiency and product quality.
• Work collaboratively with team members and production leadership to meet daily production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or production leadership.

Requirements

• Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion.
• Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles.
• The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts.
• Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
