Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of production operators, technicians, and assembly workers, ensuring they are focused and efficient in their roles.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and that all products are manufactured in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards. Address any defects or issues to maintain high levels of product quality.
  • Enforce strict safety policies and procedures on the production floor. Ensure that all workers are trained on proper safety protocols and that they adhere to OSHA standards.
  • Address and resolve production issues such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, and delays to minimize downtime and keep production moving smoothly.
  • Lead efforts to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and implement best practices in manufacturing. Identify areas for continuous improvement in workflow, equipment, and team performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, quality metrics, machine performance, and any operational issues encountered during the shift.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to resolve issues and ensure seamless production processes.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards.

Required Qualifications & Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience in HVAC manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a production environment.
  • A strong understanding of HVAC systems and components, with experience in assembly, metalworking, or fabrication.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of manufacturing equipment, ERP systems, and other production-related software.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Managing high-volume production environments.
