2nd Shift Production Supervisor

About the role

HD HPT is the nation's largest producer of US-made large scale power transformers, essential in an ever-increasing demand. The company is expanding with a new facility and urgently needs a 2nd shift supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Overall planning, scheduling, and completion of work to support all manufacturing activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and within budget.
• Apply knowledge of lean manufacturing, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency planning.
• Plan, direct, and control activities of supervisors to meet overall departmental and plant objectives.
• Interface with all plant management groups, including quality, design, sales, customer service, finance, and human resources, to meet production, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Develop manufacturing plans and supporting services to attract and retain customers.
• Maintain safety and safe working practices in all production operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Exhibit leadership ability and people skills in motivating others.
• Implement 3C5S methods in all processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Associate’s Degree in relevant field.
• Strong experience in the manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude under pressure.
• Availability to work 2nd shift hours and overtime during holidays and shutdowns if required.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn SAP.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Background with manufacturing methods, procedures, and continuous improvement programs.
