About the role

The Production Supervisor will oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output from employees working on the team. This role requires a strong working knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and processes to manage departments and achieve plant goals while maintaining high safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and protocols, serve on safety committees, and complete regular safety audits.
  • Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products for assigned work groups.
  • Set production schedules based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Coach employees on work quality and quantity, such as fit-up and welding processes, ensuring goals are met and solving issues as they arise.
  • Ensure the production of sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production cost.
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities to improve the movement of materials through various production processes.
  • Manage hourly employees, monitor and approve time sheets and work logs.
  • Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training is completed.
  • Manage all aspects of fit-up and welding processes for assigned work groups and production bays, ensuring adherence to production policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline) preferred.
  • 5+ years of successful leadership experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, specifically with flux and metal core welding, is highly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts, preferably related to transmission poles.
  • High degree of dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, a great attitude, and ability to work well with a team.

Schedule

Availability to work 2nd Shift - 6:00pm to 4:30am.

Pay

Salary range: $62,000 to $80,000.
