2nd Shift Production Associate - MAD

About the role

This position involves performing tasks related to the production of JBC Technologies, Inc. products. Duties include laminating, slitting, die-cutting, and assembly work using materials such as foams, rubbers, metals, graphite, cork-fibers, and fiberglass.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate shop machines according to established procedures and guidelines
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers, and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery
• Adhere to operating procedures and instructions
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks per specifications to run jobs accurately and maximize productivity
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and safe work station following the shop 5S system
• Embrace a team attitude aligned with JBC’s Core Values
• Accurately record labor and material usage in the ERP system
• Follow all JBC policies and procedures
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment
• Knowledge of common manufacturing concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures
• Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting
• Use of various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs
• Able to follow directions
• Strong manual dexterity

Physical Demands

• Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility for an entire shift

Work Schedule

• Normal Schedule - 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6AM - 4PM
• Normal Schedule - 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4PM - 2AM
• Overtime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory on Fridays and Saturdays
