1st Shift Production Associate - MAD

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery
• Adheres to operating procedures/instructions
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and safe work station; follow shop 5S system
• Embrace a team attitude that aligns with JBC’s Core Values
• Accurately record labor and material usage in ERP system

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED or equivalent 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing
• Job Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting; ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools; must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken; basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs; able to follow directions; strong manual dexterity
• Physical Demands: Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift

Work Environment

• Work performed in a plant/production environment
• Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise
• Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
