Job Summary
Aids press operators by performing quality checks, 5s, and material handling duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Loading steel on payoff wheel
- Staging steel
- Dumping scrap hoppers
- Printing labels
- Using a variety of gauges to ensure quality
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
- Label, scan, and move product per specifications
- Enters data into Measurlink
- Follows all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company
5s Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains a safe working environment
- Focuses on safety within a fast-paced environment
- Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with operating a forklift
- Basic computer knowledge
- Great organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail
- Effectively communicates in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees
- Safety in a fast-paced environment
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Work in a team environment or independently
- Work overtime
