ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uses and maintains required PPE
- Follows and adheres to all SOP’s and safety procedures and practices for the facility and department
- Reads, understands, and follows all operator's guide and work instructions
- Keeps pace with press cycle times
- Maintains and operates transfer presses
- Performs trimming, grinding, punching, date coding of parts after removed from the press according to customer standards
- Performs visual, in-process, and final inspection of all parts, removing the inlet gates, excessive flashing, and tear trims
- Reports excessive product defects being produced and/or defective materials to the shift supervisor and/or Quality Tech
- Ensures all visual standards and process references are adhered to produce conforming parts
- Ensures all parts are properly sorted by product type into designed holding bins, in accordance with our labeling system (Routing Cards)
- Keeps and maintains accurate records within material tracking software
- Affirms to adhere to all quality standards
- Ensures the work area and equipment are in a clean and orderly condition
- Assists material handling from mill to molding department
- Assists within the Finishing Department when required

- While performing the duties of this job, the employees frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and inside and outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The temperature in the factory may vary from 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter to 110 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer.
- Employees may get dirty with grease and oil.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
