About the role
The 2nd Shift Packing Supervisor at Georgia Pacific's Camden, NJ facility is responsible for leading a team to ensure a safe and injury-free environment. They will collaborate with various leaders to elevate the team's performance and apply Georgia-Pacific's Principle-Based Management (PBM®) principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assigning and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, Operations, Controller, and Quality Leaders to enhance team performance.
- Apply PBM® to foster a culture where employees are empowered.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Document training and be responsible for the development of new hires.
- Complete paperwork and analysis in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contribute to the Camden Plant exceeding site goals including EHS, productivity, quality, and cost.
- Track and utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct inventory reconciliation, and supervise raw materials management.
- Use strong oral and written communication skills.

Requirements
- Must make working safely the top priority, follow all plant safety policies, and enforce safe work practices.
- Must be able and willing to work a rotating shift schedule.
- A minimum of one (1) years’ experience coaching, counseling, and developing employees.
- Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas.
- A basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn various PC-based production reporting applications.
Qualifications
- Experience in the Gypsum industry.
- A minimum of two (2) years supervisor experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and one year of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to manage all aspects of a manufacturing department which include safety, quality, productivity, waste, training, development, and discipline.

Pay
$85,000 - $90,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
Schedule
Rotating shift schedule.
