2nd Shift Operator

Responsibilities

• tending machine, including opening gate and removal of parts, trimming parts, and reviewing for quality requirements before packing
• performing in-process inspection of all parts in accordance with the MCP
• performing secondary processes and rework as necessary
• operating assigned machines and assisting at other workstations as needed
• reporting production metrics, including number of good parts, bad parts, and downtime, with a goal of exceeding standards
• packaging products as directed in the MCP
• reading and following operating manuals, work instructions, master samples, process alerts, and procedures
• maintaining a clean and orderly work area, including safety and 5S housekeeping practices

Requirements

• High School Education or GED, with approval from Management
• No prior work experience required, training will be provided
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn company systems and procedures
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without injury
• Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to make timely, fact-based decisions and show good judgment
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to provide feedback, both appreciative and constructive to the workforce
• Able to participate in job development training
