About the role
Villari Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their LOCATION. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience as a technician and enjoy repairing and rebuilding machinery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; use precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance.
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies; place and expedites orders; verify receipt.
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Licensed mechanic (preferred but not required)
- Experience in the Food Industry (preferred but not required)
Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical devices and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
- Proficiency in using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Experience in fabricating repair parts
- Inventory management skills
- Communication skills

- Working near moving mechanical parts
