About the role

Villari Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their LOCATION. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience as a technician and enjoy repairing and rebuilding machinery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; use precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies; place and expedites orders; verify receipt.
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Licensed mechanic (preferred but not required)
• Experience in the Food Industry (preferred but not required)

Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical devices and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
• Proficiency in using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Experience in fabricating repair parts
• Inventory management skills
• Communication skills

• Cold temperatures between 50℉ to 10℉ (non-weather related)
• Working near moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Exposure to chemicals
• Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, reaching, and handling objects
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Use of various warehouse machinery and communication devices
