Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air conditioning repairs on plant equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including regulators, controls, and cylinders
- Read and interpret machine drawings, electrical schematics, charts, and blueprints
- Install and repair electrical systems ranging from routine to complex applications
- Weld and torch cut as required for repairs and fabrication
- Install castable materials in hearths, furnace doors, fluid beds, and arches
- Thread, bend, solder, and fit gas pipe to close tolerances
- Assist with rigging and moving heavy equipment and machinery
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, labor records, and work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete required safety, hazardous material, forklift, and lockout/tagout training
- Handle hazardous waste materials and wastewater neutralization procedures as required
- Calibrate and certify temperature measuring devices
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications
- Minimum two-year degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred OR minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent on-the-job training
- Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and machine drawings
- HVAC certification required
- Experience with welding, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems preferred
- Valid Missouri driver's license required
- Must provide own basic mechanic hand tools
