2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician position at WeatherTech Direct involves performing maintenance and repairs on machines used in the Injection Molding and Thermoforming production processes. This role requires a combination of technical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate various hand and power tools to perform maintenance work and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics components.
• Carry out assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Communicate with prior/oncoming shifts regarding any maintenance priorities and status updates.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks and complete daily maintenance tasks.
• Operate a computer to maintain data on maintenance and completed repairs.
• Train new and existing team members on different functions of the work area to ensure all can perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity.
• Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures.
• Work overtime as business demands.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition while cleaning and maintaining equipment as needed.
• Communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience performing maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics systems.
• Knowledge of Plastics Injection Molding and/or Thermoforming.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A trade school certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance is preferred, not required.
• Basic math, measuring, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of machine maintenance related to plastics injection molding and/or thermoforming.
• A high degree of attention and detail to prevent accidents, injuries, and quality issues.
• Great attendance and punctuality.
• An excellent performer; deliver high-quality results consistently.
• A high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Able to read, write, and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions in English.
