This position is responsible for performing difficult mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on plant machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience working in an industrial environment, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air-conditioning repairs on plant equipment and machineryTroubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including regulators, controls, and cylindersRead and interpret machine drawings, electrical schematics, charts, and blueprintsInstall and repair electrical systems ranging from routine to complex applicationsPerform welding and torch cutting as required for repairs and fabricationInstall castable materials in hearths, furnace doors, fluid beds, and archesThread, bend, solder, and fit gas pipe to close tolerancesAssist with rigging and moving heavy equipment and machineryMaintain accurate maintenance documentation, labor records, and work ordersMaintain a clean and organized work areaComplete required safety, hazardous material, forklift, and lockout/tagout trainingHandle hazardous waste materials and wastewater neutralization procedures as requiredCalibrate and certify temperature measuring devicesPerform additional duties as assigned by supervision Qualifications Minimum two-year degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferredOR minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent on-the-job trainingAbility to read and understand electrical blueprints and machine drawingsHVAC certification requiredMust obtain EPA Level II Refrigerant Recovery Certification within 12 months of hireExperience with welding, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems preferredValid Missouri driver's license requiredMust provide own basic mechanic hand toolsAbility to work independently and in a team environment Tools & Equipment Used Mechanic hand toolsWelding torches and cutting equipmentElectrical meters and testing equipmentAir-conditioning gauges and toolsDrill presses, saws, lathes, carts, dollies, and commercial vehiclesFork trucks and front loader equipment Work Environment This position works throughout a manufacturing facility and may be exposed to: Hot and cold temperaturesDust, noise, and industrial equipmentHazardous materials and chemicalsIndoor and outdoor working conditions Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipmentAbility to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periodsSufficient strength and manual dexterity to safely perform maintenance tasks
