About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the processes of how products are made and all the steps involved.
  • Learn about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function.
  • Maintain smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot specific industrial equipment using precise measuring and testing instruments.
  • Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect and assess the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
  • Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices.
  • 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Millwright skills, welding, and machining experience preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed repair and instruction manuals.
  • Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software.
  • Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment.

Schedule

4:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
