Responsibilities
- Respond to production requests for immediate attention to production line issues and problems.
- Maintain production equipment and records of preventative maintenance.
- Create requisitions of parts and supplies to maintain equipment.
- Maintain electrical/electronic systems and general production line equipment.
- Identify problem areas and address with permanent solutions.
- Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices in the Safe Quality Food Program.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or commensurate experience.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience and/or training.
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and production machinery.
- Ability to make decisions based on standard practices, troubleshoot, and problem solve.
- Advanced electrical knowledge/training and ability to weld (TIG, MIG, and Stick).
- Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems and read schematics, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic drawings.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience and/or training.
- Extensive understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Extensive electrical knowledge/training and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Working Conditions
- Constant standing/walking, bending, flexing, and extending neck.
- Frequent gripping, reaching, lifting, pulling, and handling material from floor-to-waist or waist-to-shoulder.
- Pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 50-60°F.
