Join our team as a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in a thriving flavor manufacturing plant, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency across production lines.
About the role
This position supports plant operations by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and general facility upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment.
- Diagnose operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
- Safely install, modify, and upgrade plant equipment as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, reporting potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, and general building infrastructure as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Hot Work, and Electrical Safety Standards.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide backup support to other Maintenance Technicians when required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (Associate degree in a related field preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting motors, gearboxes, sensors, switches, pumps, and conveyors.
- Experience working with 110V, 208V, and 460V three-phase electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (programming experience is a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or HVAC is a plus.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.

Pay
Competitive pay range of $38 - $40 per hour based on experience and skills.
Schedule
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
