About the role
The Maintenance Technician position is available for a 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm) in Shelbyville, Kentucky, USA. This role is part of the Shelbyville Manufacturing team and involves supporting production and productivity goals.
Responsibilities
- Interface with machine operators, engineering & suppliers to support production & productivity goals
- Perform effective and timely troubleshooting on all equipment problems
- Mechanical, Pneumatic, Electrical, and Hydraulic Identification and testing with PLCs
- Complete machine improvements / rebuilds / repairs quickly, cost efficiently and correctly
- Aid with the receipt, storage, issue, and return of tools and equipment
- Inspect, measure, and test completed tools and parts to ensure conformance to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of tools and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure tools are in proper working condition
- Milling, setting, punch, and auto-welding Adjustments and alignments Component specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in other operations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required, AA degree or equivalent from college or technical school preferred
- Solid shop math skills and ability to work with decimals
- Proficient in reading & interpreting prints
- Basic mechanical ability; machine changes and operation experience
- Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & gages
- Knowledge of SPC and basic computer skills such as machine controls & monitoring, and data entry
- Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 25 pounds
- Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
- Flexibility to work overtime
- Must not be on an active Final Coaching for any disciplinary action
Qualifications
