About the Role
At FreezPak Logistics, we are seeking a dedicated Main Gate Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of vehicles, verify driver credentials, and ensure the accuracy of shipping documents. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our logistics efficiency and security protocols at our main facility gate.
What You'll Do
- Driver Check-In and Documentation
- Authenticate driver identification and match credentials with delivery schedules
- Log all vehicle movements in and out of the facility using our advanced database systems
- Issue visitor badges and direct traffic to appropriate docks and parking areas
- Ensure all drivers adhere to FreezPak's operational and safety standards
- Shipping and Receiving Management
- Validate bills of lading, delivery notes, and other shipping documentation for accuracy
- Coordinate with warehouse operations to optimize loading and unloading times
- Manage dock scheduling and make adjustments as necessary to accommodate operational needs
- Report any document discrepancies or vehicle issues to management promptly
- Security and Compliance
- Oversee the surveillance of the main gate area through CCTV and routine patrols
- Record and report any security incidents or breaches
- Conduct preliminary checks to ensure all vehicles meet our safety standards
- Uphold strict compliance with safety and security protocols
- Communication and Coordination
- Serve as the primary communication point for all drivers and visitors at the gate
- Ensure smooth communication between drivers, warehouse staff, and management to support effective operations
- Relay critical information from transportation partners to the appropriate internal teams
- Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain meticulous records of gate activities
- Produce daily reports on traffic, security checks, and compliance with operational standards
- Utilize logistics management software to update shipment and vehicle movement details
What You Bring to the Pak
- Experience: Proven experience in logistics or a similar role, particularly in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Education: High school diploma or GED; additional qualifications in logistics or a related field are a plus
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of computers and logistics software
- Knowledgeable about industry-standard safety and security practices
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F
- Stand, walk, and lift as required for job duties
- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds
Pay
$18.04 – $21.02 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Monday - Friday 2:30 PM to 11 PM
