2nd Shift - Machining Tech III, Threadroll

Responsibilities

  • Perform thread roll operations on titanium screw products using Waterbury, Saspi, and Hartford thread rollers.
  • Perform in-cell wash, tumble, flat roll operations, and run fillet roll machines as required.
  • Conduct 1st Article and in-process inspections; use gages to measure critical thread roll dimensions and input SPC data into computer.
  • Perform visual inspection under microscope to detect issues from the thread rolling process and prevent rejects/PDRs.
  • Follow the 3-pan system and perform Lock/Out Tag/Out (LOTO).
  • Assist with training and development of entry-level operators.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all EHS Policies and Safety Procedures; report all incidents immediately.
  • Set up and operate Threadroll machines; familiarity with tooling required.
  • Read measuring devices and interpret specifications and work instructions.
  • Understand routers and part drawings.
  • Perform dimensional inspection using QC gages and compare results to specifications.
  • Check parts visually under microscope and sort parts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of experience operating machinery.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience operating threadroll machinery.
  • Ability to set up and operate multiple equipment types (e.g., pin heading, sleeve heading, pin rolling, band annealing, drilling, and/or assembly).
  • Ability to read and interpret product prints.
  • Ability to use inspection gages and instruments.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 30 lbs (per EHS policies).
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $19.48 to $29.19 per hour.
