About The Role

The Laser Operator is responsible for performing laser cutting operations, participating in design and production discussions, and collaborating with other manufacturing departments. This role requires a combination of technical skills and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

• Operates, programs, and troubleshoots tube laser machinery.
• Conducts first piece article inspections and documents part dimensions according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Performs and documents routine maintenance on machines as directed.
• Understands and implements the company's quality program, assisting in workload scheduling to maximize machine run time.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors.
• Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.
• Fulfills all policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the Employee Handbook, SOPs, MOPs, JSAs, and Safety Manual.
• Awareness of personal contributions to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies; reporting all issues to appropriate personnel.

Additional Expectations

• Compliance with the Code of Conduct and Policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
• Ensuring adherence to product compliance policies, laws, regulations, and market demands.
• Reporting concerns related to the Compliance Management System to supervisors, managers, or the Leadership Team.

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
• 5 years minimum experience in manufacturing.
• 3 years minimum experience in operating, programming, or repairing laser machinery.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Able to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
